^"I lOVE the Longchamps what a perfect wheel/tire combo! We need to do a fun run in your neck of the woods"
Thanks Alvin. I just wanted something different. But I think the Panas and Wats are still the best looking for the roadster. We should definitely do a fun run in the East Bay. I know there's about 4 of us w/in the 10 mile radius.

Whew! Life can be a matter of inches eh? I've had a few very close calls, one where I could have reached out and touched the logging truck front bumper as we passed... so glad you were on it and reacted quickly!mraitch wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2019 12:45 pm So yesterday an idiot turned left at an intersection right in front of me.
Where the skid marks ended was less than 6 inches from hitting him.
If I had been looking at my gauges or rearview mirror, I would have hit him.
It can be scary out there!!

BIG thanks for their usual wonderful hospitality.

Thanks for his fine hospitality at "Casa Kampa"
Fixed his 320 truck fuel filter and valued some parts to earn my stay.
Drove W across WA on my favorite E WA farm roads.
Nice cool day with a few sprinkles.
Weighed the Prowler in full trip kit on a grain elevator scale.
Tools, spares, cooler, lunch, clothes, ETC. 2380 lbs. NO Lite Weight roadster.!

Beautiful day. 188 miles.
Proof that 1500's can still go fast. (downhill aided)

Now that the speedometer works I downloaded a GPS app. Speedometer is surprisingly accurate. 90mph uphill, stroker rules!

Re: Where did you DRIVE this weekend? (Roadsters only!)
Wife and I took a 300+ mile road trip Saturday. Followed the back roads of north Idaho along the east side of Lake Couer d'Alene and back past Rose Lake. Beautiful day for a drive! Except, I rounded a corner and drove through some freshly spilled paint or stain. By the time I got home is was dried on. Spent most of today, mostly successfully, removing it from my lower fenders and rockers.

Re: Where did you DRIVE this weekend? (Roadsters only!)
Pat, I got on Google maps and looked at your drive... exactly what these cars are for eh? We love to do that kind of drive. We went to Mt .St. Helens Saturday, staying off the main freeways and driving through towns we would normally bypass. Great country roads and some twisty turns, made even better with a a good copilot.

Last year a couple of friends of mine were in Montana on KTM 1290 ADVs and went down on an outside corner into the gravel at 50 mph. 5 gal bucket of oil!!!dynaguy wrote: ↑Sun Aug 04, 2019 6:27 pm Wife and I took a 300+ mile road trip Saturday. Thank goodness it wasn't an inside corner or off of a cliff, neither were injured..bikes were rashed...
