It was 50 degrees yesterday so I pulled her out into the muck that is my driveway and let the battery charge for a while. Then took it for a spin around the block.

Funny! When I first met Alvin on a fun run I had it up as I had just bought it and was not sure how to take it down properly. plus it was cold out. but anyways Alvin gave me a hard time about it being up and he said I did not want to muss up my hair! I did have my wife with me too.

and now his is almost always up as a hard top!

Thats pretty funny Alvin!
I did not know I photo bombed your picture along with the back of Kieth Wilams (keith0alan) and Mike (msampsel)

You know that family picture you took was at Solvang last year and you know that it was taken in front of my white 1970 2000.

And you know why that was????
Because I drove it 250 miles in the rain, with my top up again, well it was raining but you left your roadster at home in the garage! some excuse about taking the family to Disneyland and not enough room in a roadster for everyone or something!
we all know you did not want to get it wet.

Well thats ok. im probably not going to make it to solvang this year with a roadster but I see you are. maybe you can photo bomb a picture of me in front of your roadster if I manage to get down there. LOL

Oh and I never said those words.... but I did harass you, in fun, about touching my roadster earlier when you were showing model year differences to a friend of yours.

Last Sunday was a break from the recent Seattle monsoon so the wife and I went for a drive to the locally owned burger chain 'Dicks'. My wife asked if we could eat in the car since it's a convertible (I don't eat in our other cars) on the way home I noted that although the burger smell wouldn't linger a fry could end up between the seats

I have been told that french fries between the seats will typically dislodge and go airborn and exit the vehicle with the top down on a roadster in speeds of excess over 110 mph. well that might just be wishful thinking or a wive's tale......

but maybe it could be used as an excuse to go a little faster on the way home next time.

Picked mine up from JDM Legends, where I had the tune the carbs, and adjust the brakes. They have this car down there they are slowly working on. California car that was sent to Japan, that they bought last year for a customer and brought back.

Took 120 mile round trip to Maryland's Eastern Shore on Saturday under hazy sunshine and 81 degrees. Usually I would expect a day like today to instead happen somewhere in the middle of the week on a day that there's no way to skate out early, ya know???

Got an invite to the AutoCon show in LA.. They have invited me every year, but it has always been Solvang weekend.. Since they moved the show, I decided I had to go..

Polished up the cars..

Drove the cars up to the convention center. We were early arrivals, they were building a stage; wonder if people will actually show up..
Image

Hmmm.. Think there will be people..
Image

Some crazy stuff showed up.. Like this RB powered M3..
Image

Room filling up..
Image

Image

As the show wound down around 8, people were still checking out the roadsters..
Image

At the end of the night, there was a land rush for the oversize door to get out..
Image

Followed by a beautiful nighttime drive through downtown LA with a bunch of other crazy cars..

When I got home, found some glass in the car..
Image

Great drive in a new roadster..

You know you're in Kalifornia when you have to go through metal detectors to enter a car show. Then again, I guess it's LA. Snake Plissken wouldn't have been very happy.
