Hello Datsun fans,

my name is Alex, i come from Düsseldorf in germany and I've got a 1969 1600 Fairlady in yellow with red interior...

I searched long time for a good part dealer...
Because of this page i found the connection to Dean and he helped me to bring the car back on the road.
It's my first oldtimer and i started to love her since the first day.
But now enough text...time for some pics:

Wow, Looks great. When I first read that is was yellow with a red interrior, I thought Yikes, that can't possibly look good. I am pleasantly surprised. That is a good looking roadster! Did you dye the dash pad to match the interior? It looks like it is also red.

Welcome, great pics! I also like that color, is it red or maroon? Regardless it's sharp and looks like you've done a top notch restoration. Where did you get the Roadster from originally?

Thanks. The dash is original red like everything inside the car....I thought about changing the carpet into black.this might give a better contrast.

I got the car from the father of my girlfriend...he bought it in 1988 in germany. The last ten years it stood in a garage, so he gave me the car :-) A german dealer imported in 75 about 8 roadster. My one was originaly from Florida.

If he gave you the car, then you can't beat that, congratulations.
How long have you been working on it? (and why didn't you share earlier!!?!?! :-) )

I worked on it four about 3 months, but the condition of the car was pretty good. I renewed Brakes Cooling Clutch Starter and many other little things but the body frame and engine are in top condition...

Yesterday was my first time i looked in the forum and was surprised....until then i mainly used the wiki

Welcome to the forum and sweet looking roadster. I hope you do not mind as I took the top picture and re-sized it to be used as your avatar.

It would also be nice if you put your location in your profile too!
We know from this thread where you are, but won't in other posts.

That is a nice looking car, great to have one more European on this board, hope you don't mind me adding you to the European group and change your color.

I know of another German with a roadster and if memory serves me right, he lives in Düsseldorf, Thomas Althaus

Welcome
Chris
