Does anyone out there know that the resistance values are supposed to be for the stock Datsun fuel level sender (69 2 liter car)? I suspect mine is bad and want to test it.

Thanks!

Dave,

I see no one has replied on this. I was told that the fuel sender for a Ford had the same ohm range as the roadster fuel sender. From Autometer's web site that would be(16 Ω Empty/158 Ω Full) I do not know this to be accurate information so use at your own risk. Probably your best bet would be to pull the fuel sender assembly and with a volt meter take some measurements.

I actually forgot about this post. I did go ahead and pull my sender. It's a 0 - 90 ohm sender. my problem turned out to be corrosion on the sender's contacts causing the gauge not to read above 1/4 tank. A quick blast with a wire brush and I'm back in business!
