Welcome, you have found the best spot for all things Roadster. Any of the vendors will have parts for you, just a matter of cost. Sounds like you got lucky with your car to get it out and running so "easily". There are a lot of threads on brakes in these forums, and also information in the tech wiki. http://www.311s.org/pmwiki-311/pmwiki.p ... ion.Brakes" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Post pictures or no one will believe the car exists!

Thanks guys,look forward to getting this little roadster in really good shape. I picked it up from a friend for $250.00 motor was frozen solid body is in pretty good shape and it needs seats and and interior. So as far as brakes look for a Tilton unit, would NAPA or a local parts place still carry these parts. Guess Ill start cruising around the site here to gather more info. Really thought about dropping a 5.3 LS motor in her but shes so original looking I couldn,t do it,lol.

Welcome, nice score on the car.Stan Chernoff may have some "alternative" master cylinders, they fit with a mod to the brake line. He is "Fossil" on this forum and on the vendor list. Major rebuiild kits are also avail for less than the alternative cylinder, replaces just about all but the casting. Datsunparts .com has them listed.

Good call on not swapping into a complete car, drive it as it was built, it's cool in it's own way. In a year or so if you feel you just have to do the swap, so be it.

Wow you guys are really cool, its always a pleasure to meet good people. Been looking around on the site lots of good info here. Yea I figure the motor now runs great so I'll leave it be, I have a 5.3 out of an SS Impala sitting at the shop with a T56 six speed from a Camaro itching for a home but I do like the way this engine runs and sounds and think keeping it original would be nice, also re pinning an LS harness is no picnic, lol. Just finished the harness for the Blazer with LS2 and 4L80 now changing bin files in computer.
. After looking at the car I think i will be painting it silver or gunmetal with the black interior. I'm in the Auto Collision biz so painting and fabrication are my strong points. I'm going to pull all the wheels off tomm and will look and see what I need as far as brake parts. Also where can I find a frame for the soft top? I have the fiberglass hard top but there is no rag or frame.

John, I believe one of the vendors listed on this site had a few used soft top frames. Can't remember which one, but a quick search should come across them easily enough. Every so often, they show up on evilBay. Remember, the 68s and later are high windshield cars and the top frames are not compatible with earlier cars. Also, several vendors have the soft tops new in couple of different materials.
