The Datsun Roadster Owners of Puget Sound (DROPS) had our Spring Roadster Revival Social Gathering today, 4-18-10.
A Beautiful spring day with a great turnout of over 20 DROPS folks and guests and 9! roadsters, 1 411 sedan and 1 truck.
A good time was had by all at a local Pizza place.
No Drive today but plenty of socializing, BS and motivation to get our Roadsters ready for Summer.
Ted.

Nice, looked like a really good day weatherwise.
Can someone tell me specifically what color Blue is on the low windshield roadster?
I really like that color!

Hi Notoptoy.
The 66 blue roadster is mine.
It is the Lou Smaldino (Fresno) restoration with KA24DE swap. First in Solvang in 2006.
Color is 1998-2001 Honda. "Electron Blue Pearl". Paint code B95P.

Thanks Ted, that is a beautiful color on a Roadster! The car looks GREAT, any more pictures available? Is that a gray interior?
Again, thanks for the info!

I love that blue too! Always thought it looked good on the Civic, looks a hundred times better on the roadster. I think they used it on the 99 Prelude too.

This meeting was one block from IKEA, so Debbie (my wife) said she'd drop me off to play with cars, and pick me up later. Washed the Miata, took the hard top off, and had a nice drive down. Pull into the lot, and she says "okay, I have to see these." And then she says......
Jesse's nice 67.5 1600: "You should buy that car." NOTE: car is -NOT- for sale.
Ted's '66 KA24: "That's the color I've been wanting you to paint your roadster!"
Steve's '70 1600: "Hey! A yellow that looks good on a roadster. Of course, it's a different (paler) yellow than we have on the Miata, Ranger, and 914."
Finds out John is selling his '69 1600: "You should buy this one. Then you could drive instead of having a project."
See's Ron's near-immaculate '67 PL411: "I wouldn't mind you driving that instead of the blue POS in our driveway."

Hey, at least she stayed and looked at the cars. Just think of what you saved over her going to IKEA!
PLUS, she is giving you permission to buy another Roadster.
She's a keeper!

No. Shopping for upcoming remodel. Didn't spend money that day, but later this year.....
Not quite. I get one roadster. Buy another means sell existing one.
After 24 years, neither of us has the time or energy to break in new ones.

Well Pete, it's just a matter of time and you'll have a roadster with a R16 Stroker in it! And when that time comes, I'll be the jealous one wishing I had your motor!
Hang in there!
