The All Classic Japanese Car and Bike Show
Spanish Banks
Vancouver, BC
Nice show for the start of the year. Great beach setting, sometimes a little cool, temp wise...
Next Sunday for those that may attend. I will do my best to get there in the AM for an hour or 2 but problems with rear leaf springs will keep my car from showing again this year.......

Depending on the weather, I wouldn't mind taking a run out there .

Dang, that snuck up on me.
I'm guessing I won't be able to make it as I leave for the Spring Thaw on the 29th and I forsee some last minute preparation this weekend. Too bad, it's a great show in a beautiful spot. Maybe the guy with the jet powered Honda scooter will make another appearance...he put on a pretty wild show last year.

If the weather is clear I will try to come. The wine fest is on sat night so there may be a slight hang over.

10:15 AM and raining...

But it looks like it may clear up so I'm grabbing the camera and heading down to the beach with high hopes............

Yeah, woke up early and headed out with the roadster...drove through two showers and decided to turn around.

Well, the show started out rather wet, but it did clear up and was quite nice by lunchtime.
There were several interesting and nice cars cars there.
My favourite was a 1970 Datsun 1000 with an A15 / 4 spd and single Dellorto 40mm sidedraft carb, electric fan, electronic dizzy, and a couple other small mods.
A Datsun 4WD visiting From Washington State....
A very clean, slightly modded '86 Celica Supra....
And a rarely seen here Toyota Crown 6 cyl. auto.....(sorry front pic didn't turn out)
There were a bunch of nice 510s, a few Corrollas, a 240 SX with an RB25 turbo which was a very nice install, a couple of first generation(?) Toyota Celicas, and a number of other cars of varying interest.......
But nary a roadster in sight.......

Wow, no roadsters at all? I think last year there were 3...weather was beautiful though.
That Datsun 1000 is awesome! Hope to see it sometime at one of the other meets.

Sorry
It was raining that morning, with no roof it made it difficult, not too mention the hang-over from the wine tasting.

That little 1000 is fantastic... didn't even know they existed. Was that like the 1200? Had a friend that raced one of those quite successfully for many years.

that Datsun 1000 is VERY cool.
Funny, when I saw the rear view, the first thing I thought of was BMW 2002 Touring, the hatchback version, which are very rare in the States.

The Datsun 1000 was the model before the 1200. We got them in Canada but I believe the US never got them.
