Me too! It is very clean and understated. I know I have better shots of his dash(proper lighting)

I think a more appropriate picture for this thread is of Eric's high low-dash conversion:

I like the painted windshield frame. Ive never studied his car before. The black gauge bezels look good too, and, and, and,,, nice car! I have much respect for the hours and hours spent.
I am just starting to "play" with mine. I have a 67 donor now too.

Sid, shoot me a p m and a price. the more i look at those pics between the two, the more i like the flat dash.

Butch,

I will dig them out when I get back. It would probably be easiest/best to go with aftermarket gauges. To get nice it would probably be cheaper as well.

I very much like the flat-dash look. It reminds me of the '66 Austin Healey I had in high school

If I were to convert my high-windshield, recessed-guage dash to this type, I would probably get authentic Smiths guages as well.

They would really finish off the retro-look.

What is the "filler panel" Phil mentioned?

I cut the top plate from the donor, and fit it to the 69, lots of trimming/fitting. It is ALOT of work. Kudos to those who have done this swap, IMOHO, a write up would be extensive, as there is alot to do, I for one do not write, or document well.
Most cars have slight differences as well, and a general "idea" that it can be done, has been very helpful.
I am good with my results so far.

Thank you Appreciate it. I reviewed your pics.
It's not the pic it's lack of paint, not much was applied under there.
I am entertaining your idea of using the 69 column, we'll see how it goes. I don't have an early column right now. I don't know the tube diameter difference. More homework!

I cut that out of Dennis Currington's old green 2000 with a 66 body before he converted to a 67.5.

RIP Dennis.
