Manila Sports Car Club Meet

Post by project_timemachine »

First of all, Happy New Year! :smt038

Last Sunday, I attended a breakfast meet with the Manila Sports Car Club. Amazing line-up of vintage sports cars. There was even a white pristine unrestored Toyota 2000 GT in attendance! :smt010 I'll try to upload a video of the 2000 GT later.

Looks like it should be called the Manila Sports Car & Porsche club, lol. You never mentioned another roadster in your area.

Hey Steven, You must be sad that you left New York and all the snow and cold weather...it must really suck to be on the beach with the warm weather 8)

Great meet how often do they get together?

True! I don't know why Filipinos love Porsches so much...more than the Datsun Roadsters :D There's another member who has a 67.5 Datsun Roadster as well, but it's in Silver. So far, I've only seen three roadsters here in Manila including mine...a bit lonely for the roadster owners here. :smt009

Yup, I miss the cold weather...it's too darn sunny and breezy here! I wish I was there for the snow and wet weather! :smt040

We meet-up on the first Sunday of the month for breakfast and coffee. The club also organizes the only vintage racing series here every three months...I'm planning to join in the fun once the roadster is ready...hopefully for the next race sessions.

As for the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight...it's disappointing! But it might just be a publicity stunt to get more drama into the fight...who knows. I hope it pulls through! :D
