Yup, it's raining in Portland

Hey all-as long as it's gonna rain for the next 6 months in Portland (Vancouver, Washington actually) we bought a new project.
It's a '69 1600.
The good news-The whole car is there but it hasn't run since '95. Carbs were rebuilt (professionally here in Portland), head has been rebuilt, brakes gone through, gas tank is in great shape, radiator is in great shape, it has farily new shocks and looks like lots of stuff was replaced. All in all it's complete and seems like it should be a good driver.
The bad news: first, I have to move my '90 300ZX out of the garage and she's pissed about sitting in the driveway under a cover. The roadster must have sat outside for years, slowly rotting away, the top is in shreds but all the parts are in pretty good shape. It looks like there was at least 3" of water in the trunk and driver's side at one time. I've cleaned the trunk up and will take care of the driver's floor this weekend. Luckily there's no rust through in either floor (a few pin holes in the trunk).
It looks like the body has been repaired before and there is rust bubbling up in a few places through the gawd awful lilac colored paint. We'll see what evil lurks but right now, the passenger wheel arch and the driver's front fender lower look to be the only major spots.
Wiring has been tampered with, there was an aftermarket stereo installed behind the passenger seat and the wiring was not done well. The entire under hood wiring harness has been stripped (of tape) and several wires are broken that lead to the driver's side lights. Oddly, there is no sign of melting or shorts so I have no idea why a previous owner was messing around in there (but I'll bet I find out).
This has gone on long enough, I just wanted to say hi. I'm sure I'll be back many times asking silly questions.
See ya,
Dan
