Datsun Roadsters of Puget Sound (DROPS). First gathering
Posted: Mon Sep 14, 2009 3:40 pm
The first get together of the Datsun Roadsters of Puget Sound (DROPS) on 9-12-09.
A few months ago I started to compile contact info for the Datsun Roadster
owners in the Seattle area.
I hoped to increase contact, pass on info, motivate roadster activity etc for the many roadster folks in the area
and it has been quite successful. We currently have an Email contact list of 27.
On Saturday we had our first gathering for BS, gossip and a ride on local back roads.
We had 7 roadsters show up and it was a beautiful day.
We got all 7 roadsters out for a drive and we all made it back with no stops for repairs.
We will make this an annual event and next year have a BBQ and food.
We have selected an area/weather appropriate acronym (DROPS) for our internet group.
But the weather has been so dry this last 4 months that we will be selling our unneeded tops!
I guess there are over a 100 roadsters in the area so if any one in reasonable driving distance
to the Puget Sound/Seattle area wants to join our email list please contact me.
We have a lot of very knowledgable old roadster hands who have shared much good info already.
