FUSE BOX WIRES

My Friends:

I just finished reinstalling my dash/gauiges/harness and all the wiring in my '68 1600, and when I reconnected all the wires that go to the fuse box I encountered a problem.......

According to the wiring diagram, I should have a blue with red "tab" wire connected to the left side of the 10A fuse (second fuse if you start from the bottom), and no wire on the 20A right above it......but my fuse box has a connector for the 20A, and no connector coming out of the left side of the 10A fuse!!!!

Do I just connect the blue (L/R as it's labeled on the diagram) wire to the 20A outlet?

Hi Jorge,
I just ran into this same exact problem just last week while tracking down a short under the dash. The 10amp and the 20amp fuse below it are fed off the same wire on the left side of the 10amp fuse. So I believe you just run the L/R wire off the right side of the bottom 20amp fuse.(now this is from memory thinking back to last week at the shop and I'm sitting here at home with a beer in me, but I will verify this tomorrow just to make sure I'm not misleading you) I can email you a pic of mine if you'd like tomorrow as well.

Mark:

Thanks for the info, and enjoy that beer man! If it's not too much to ask, I would find a picture of your fuse setting very helpfull. If you have time to send it, send it to jorge0227@aol.com. I will greatly appreciate it !

Thanks again Mark!
