New here from Northern California

Post by Dave_Car_Guy »

Hi All,
New guy here in Northern California...a "repeat offender" as I am just now coming back to the Roadster community after a 21 year break. I gave my 69 2000 to my brother, along with a parts car, back in 1988 when I moved out of state. When I got back in 1991 the 2000 had been sold off. I was bummed and waited until now to jump back in. My first car was a 1972 510 and I considered finding another of those but the joy of a top-down roadster drive called me too strongly!

So...I just bought a 1968 2000, SRL31103106 from Texas and brought it home to Claifornia (#3106 was previously in the registry as a project car in Tennessee). I have several things to fix on the car and I will ask a few questions about that in the tech forum. For now, hello again from a long-lost roadster-head!

Thanks, I'd love to get a fun run in...that weekend is booked (daughter's b-day) but soon after I get a couple things fixed (car is going to Mike Y this week), we'll take a ride. Maybe Hwy 35/84 Four Corners to Pescadero and Half Moon Bay? One of my favorite drives...

..."soon after I get a couple things fixed"...see, I'm getting right back into being a true Roadster owner again.

Welcome. Danville, eh? Lived there back in '75-'76-ish when there were only 2 or 3 stoplights and none of that horrendous build up on 680. Hung out at the Round Table. If we had money, off to Dan McGrew's. :smt003
