In Memory of Floyd Link

Post by 67Racer »

It is with much sadness that today the passing of Floyd Link is reported to me and to those who know he was one of the good guys and an extrordinary Datsun engine builder. Many of us that race attended Floyds 80th birthday in Dec and in april he went in for surgery and kept getting infections that finally went away a few weeks ago. Floyd was an early part time engine guy at BRE working with John Caldwell and he later went with John to NPTI where he did the Nissan GTP engines. In the last 7-8 years many of us got to know him from the engines and prep work done for his son Steve who races with us in vintage sedans. Steves 510 is almost untouchable with Floyds engines under the hood. He will be sorely missed at our race weekends as he was always smiling and willing to help. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. We will from now on be racing in memory of Floyd.
