Flex brake lines

Post by jabel »

I recently found out that the flex brake lines are still available from Nissan and they're reasonably priced. I bought mine for $17.58/ea. and got them in 3-4 days.

Part numbers for those are in the parts list Tech Wiki and they are the same for at least the 66 through 70.

By 'flex" do you mean the rubber brake hoses?
If so Napa has UP36737 with the 3/8-24 threads.

I had to send the Dorman hoses back because the threads were wrong. Wound up getting them from the Nissan dealer.

Has anyone tried these?

The vendor is LNF Brakes from Argentina. Add $10 for shipping. One may be better off dealing w/ a US seller.

Brake hoses on on my short list of next projects. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Advise getting the SS flex lines from places like Orme Bros http://www.ormebrothers.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; or a similar hydraulic hose company. You can get a firmer brake pedal from these better hoses. Clutch hose and the all important oil line also available. Bring in your old lines and save fitting on oil line.

Thanks. Clutch hose is also on the list (upcoming post). Oil line? Which one is that?

For SF Bay Area locals, any vendor recommendations? Thx.

It comes out of the block on the right side , in the late cars. If it blows you are toast.

Has anyone tired the Goodridge #22050 set. They seem to be available from several sources for under $100.
