Hi, I'm checking to see if anyone else is heading south to Shasta on Friday. I'm heading out around 6:00am from the Corvallis/Lebanon exit, then I plan to stop in the Grants Pass or Medford area for fuel and food. I'm hoping to make it to Mt. Shasta by 1:00 If you have similar plans please let me know.
Pete, are you going to make it there??... Bill

I'm planning on heading down Friday morning but if I recall correctly the Corvallis exit is a good 4.5 hours or so from where I'll be starting out so I won't get there until well after 6am. Unless someone else from up here is heading down (Pete is still not sure) I'll probably leave here around 5am.

Still a slim chance. Thinking early Friday, but not 5am-early. Like Tim, I'm 4 hours north of Corvallis/Lebanon.

Our group (4 cars) will be leaving late Friday afternoon from the Corvallis area... another 2 will be leaving sometime on Thursday!

Mr. Hyde is rolling out at about 7 AM from Portland Thursday and should be passing the Corvallis exit somewhere near 8:15 or so.

So, Did Pete get on the road? Last report was a stuck clutch slave and part was on the way.

I threw in the towel at 11:15pm Friday night when "one more thing" reared its ugly head. Slept late, then spent a more leisurely Saturday/Sunday wrenching. Finally, after three years, I got to drive it......a few miles before it overheated. Get home and find the valve cover gasket leaking, too. Barely start investigating before we get freak thundershowers.

On the plus side, I got more done in 2 weeks than in 2 years.

Next year for sure.

Moving is good. A flurry of activity like that can be very productive, when you can find the time.
