This is one of those times when I hate datsun engineers. I used my angle finder to get the angle between the top and the side. I didn't look closely and just thought the side was angled. Nope, the top. Okay fine, no problem.
Then I discover that the steering support is aligned with the top so it is at an angle too. Had to revise my drawing.

My days continue with wiring in the morning and car in the afternoon. Got the floor insulation in, still have the shelf to do. I now have brakes and clutch.
Pulled the seat down last night to look at for redo. Ugh, rusty runners and shot webbing. Ordered a 65 mustang seat foam to try and fit it as in the other post about it. If I can get it right I'll order a second one. I don't like hog rings, need a cutter for them.

Hey Curtis, please keep us posted on the mustang foam, I’m doing my seats right now and very curious to see how they work out for you
I just finished disassembly of the seats and sending to bead blast before painting , I ordered polypropylene and rubber webbing which would last about twice as long as the Pirelli rubber bands
For the hog rings that holds the bands a flat screw driver and a pair of pliers did the job quickly and efficiently

Here's the thread about the mustang foam.

Where did you get the webbing? Bought a good pair of cutters and snipped the hog rings off. Most are quite rusty.

I bought it at an online upholstery shop , I researched and polypropylene and rubber is recommended for car because humidity won’t affect it much and it’s got good elasticity

Wall-E the heater is now ready to go in the car after getting a rebuilt core. Seattle Radiator does an outstanding job, thing weighs more now.

That looks great ! I'll be looking at refurbing mine soon. Did you put in new gasket foam for the little doors, and if so, what did you use ?

I bought a sheet of neoprene self adhesive sheet off ebay to make new doughnut seals for the heater flapper valve in the cowl. After looking at the price for repros I looked at my sheet and figured out there was enough for door seals too. A little cutting and slotting and I had new seals.

New seal for the heat flapper valve. Should have used a little thicker material but it seals 90% of it.

Curtis how much material would you recommend to buy for both the Heater doors and flapper(s)? You mentioned a little thicker material might have worked a bit better. But it doesn't look like this neoprene comes in 3/16 thickness so the next size up would be 1/4". Do you think that would work for both doors and flapper or buy some of each size?
Much appreciated.

It's alive!!! After scraping my hands in a couple places I got all the damn hoses on for the heater and valve. Glass bowl fuel filter has a new gasket but apparently isn't sealing which I will have to check. Have a later fuel filter I swapped on and the gas began to flow.
Took a bit to get the 123 distributor in the right place and away she went. Not sure why but the distributor is off one position. When I put the drive gear in I checked it with a stock distributor. Have to look at it again.
