Yesterday I fought the dreaded ooze from the brake line fittings. I'm hoping new parts will seal better so that is my next step. Maybe the best thing I did for the car was to walk away and watch football instead.

Well the football thing didn't work out any better. I did wonder if Lucas had anything to do with the lights at the dome.
Ordered new parts today.

The mating ritiual begins. It has been many years (10 or so) since they were one. She, the body, has had treatment for cancer, and is whole again. Even better than her younger years. He, the chassis, had undergone a heart transplant. With a new, modern sr20 waiting to come to life and re-live the bygone days of youth tearing up the back roads with a lusty zeal.

Perhaps by this weekend they will be back together as one...stay tuned!

dang, dynaguy, that's poetic.

Disassembled rear brakes, wheel cylinder leak, soaked shoe, gotta replace it all tomorrow. Now I know where the smaller reservoir fluid went. :-(

You could probably resurrect the fluid soaked shoe by washing in warm soapy water.
Been here very recently :(
After a few applications of the brakes to dry any residual moisture, the shoes worked fine!
Nissanman, just trying to help.

Together Again! After a couple of unsuccessful attempts (I had to notch the brace under the master cylinder and remove the filler plate to allow the shifter to clear) the body and chassis are together again. They seem quite content. There appears to be no clearance issues with the Rota wheel / tire combo. The time together is fleeting as I am locating the battery under the parcel shelf and removing unecessary bits as soon as I can round up a rotisserie. I finally feel like I have a car instead of a pile-o-parts!

Congratulations on the progress, no matter how fleeting!

I put together all the fittings so I can tap into all four intake runners, route that to the water tube on the solex manifold (long since blocked off at the head, and with plugs in the tube ends until now) to new barbed fittings on the ends so I can use that as my carb balance tube as well as a source for my MAP sensor for the megajolt. Wow, that's a mouthful!

Rota RB's 15x7+12 195/50 tires. I'll prep my passenger fender today and test fit. Have Dean's comp front springs, stock rear springs. Looks like there will be no clearance issues. That is one reason I put the body on, also had to determine the area for the battery locate under the rear parcel tray to see what size battery to get. I'll then have to fab the battery hold down.

Cool car. You and Rob should video some roll ons in April. :smt064

Seems lately every time I touch mine it kicks back like mule...weird.
