I would suggest a new post regarding this question to widen your potential audience. I have seen this done but not on a Roadster. There are a few here running different flat slide style carbs, but not those in particular... Maybe you'll be the first!

I'll post the question. I think my dad has a friend that could probably build the manifold from mild steel.
Also i'm probably going to wait on the dash cap, and just buy some gaskets i'm missing. At least i already bought a new carpet for the interior. LOL

Sorry guys no progress has been done to the car. I'm waiting for my dad to arrive in the next few weeks, he will probably arrive the same day i leave school for summer vacations. He also said that he's been wanting to buy one roadster for parts, and one for a ka24 swap. We already found 2 here in Texas, a 67, and a 67.5 both are spl. Either of them two work, but at least both have carbs, and complete engines.

I just have to keep praying so everything goes as planned.

WOW, I just can't believe how much time has pasted since mi last post. Luckily next wednesday, not this wednesday i will be having summer vacations. That means that after finishing my final exams i will be off into finishing the project with my dad. Oh one last thing, yesterday my dad was cable of giving a down payment for a roadster. But the bad thing is that if we are not there before someone pays for the car we wont get it.
Last but not least, yesterday i found out about a 12 yr old girl that started a restoration on a pontiac fiero. Her build is very encouraging, such that it's making me work on chimuelo a lot harder than before.
Her pontiac fire bird build.

P.S I'm not really too sure if i'm allowed to post other forums on here. If i'm not, your more than welcome to erase the link.

Not expecting much, I popped over to the 12 yr old girl and the fiero thread... All I can say is WOW. That kid is amazing, and it is opening up doors for her I can't believe. 33 pages of thread is more than I care to read, but what I did was truly great.
My 18 yr old daughter and I are modifying her 2002 Jetta just a bit... Coil overs, brakes, interior, body kit, tires and wheels, etc. She wants to do as much as possible and she is funding the whole thing. I bought a '68 Roadster yrs ago with intention of doing it with and for her. Unfortunately divorce and the loss of a place to do it got in the way, but at least we get to do the Jetta before she goes off to school.
Great story, and I am glad you posted it. Good luck with your car!

So today we were about to head to Houston for the spl. But as soon as i got into craigslist i just couldn't spot the add, but as soon as i found it and clicked on it i found out that it was deleted. That means that i will have to wait a little more till i find another roadster.

Hopefully that happens soon, as i just hate being inside of my house doing nothing during summer.
P.S Good luck to everyone here making progress on you're
roadster. Have a nice day.

Finally i ordered the carburetors, and victor reinz gasket kit. My dash is also getting recovered but it's more of a Mexican way of recovering.

Tomorrow i will be going to harbor freight to buy some tools i need, and tomorrow i will be sending the seats for reupholstering. luckily i'm at least getting closer to having the interior completed. I'm just missing the center console, and the door panels..

Why??? just order a set of seat covers from one of our vendors. They are easy to install. As my friend Victor used to say, "If you can put pillow covers on your pillows, you can recover your seats."

How much is the seat cover? Because the reupholstering shop is just charging me $50 to do both seats.

If that is the actual cost, and you don't get hit with any 'while we were in there' surprises, it's a bargain. Can't beat that if the work is ok.
