Been searching on how to remove the heaterbox but most of what I found was how to remove the heater core from the box...

Any tips on this? Does anyone want it when it comes out? Someone in SoCal hoarding spares that has some space lol I will let you hold it for me

It has been three years but IIRC the one on my '67 is held in by two screws down into the "hump" and two into the firewall. It is apparent that at the factory they build the car around the heater box.

Is it possible to remove without taking the dash out?

Yeah i must be using too large of a screw driver. I might have to use my little flat head and see if that works. It just kind of kept bulging when i would try to poke it thru and just did not want to go in the hole.
Did you get it to work with just the small screwdriver? I'm trying it now, and losing my patience!
Didn’t see this till now. So yeah I used soapy water and went in at an angle instead of trying to just push it in. Once you get it in you can then twist if back in it’s proper place if needed. Patience was definitely needed ha.

Installing a tonneau cover soon (dont have it yet) and my dash is missing the twist-tabs. I have sourced them now, but Im not sure if I have markings or dimples that will tell me where to install them? Also, Im expecting the worst, but how much of a pain is it going to be to install them? I already know the bullet one on the door is going to be a pain...

I have lost one of my SR20DE S14 spark plug wires. What difference does it make to get aftermarket wires? Length or the way the current passes through?

No difference, although the quality and color varies from brand to brand. The tuners prescribe to the ‘bigger is better’ because larger wires can conduct more current, see.

Thank you GeoffM. I was afraid the plug insert was a specialty item for the Silvia SR20DE. If anyone has purchased something they like please respond.
