You better put a Kangaroo warning detector on that car when it's driveable! Too nice!

Kangaroos, wombats, sharks, emus, stinger jelly fish, funnel web and red back spiders
Welcome to Oz
Heart break time!
Rubbed back my nice new glossy red paintwork to THIS:-

I am assured by Travis that it is all very essential to achieve the desired end result

Spent all day rubbing back the two front guards and the two doors to the flat red you see here: -

Meanwhile, Travis has wet rubbed the body with #3000 and polished her with a foam pad to make her look like this: -

Time to break out the sunnies 8) 8)

So far so good, there have been no blemishes that couldn't be fixed with wet rubbing :D :D :D

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
I take it that you would like to see my car and I at Bribie Island?
That, as they say, IS THE PLAN!

I have temporarily fitted the doors and guards to the finished body to get them home safely.

I am drooling. Not a fan of red but she looks fantastic. Super job. Good luck with the rest of the assembly.

Yes, I understand your comment.
Red is not my choice of colour either but that was the original colour so, to be original, I decided to retain it.
It looked fantastic in gloss white for a while there!

The paint is amazingly tough, I haven't broken anything yet.
The guards will come off again until the engine is installed.
All said and done, it should be a little better than what Datsun did in 1965!

My 67 was red originally but I have decided to go with 665 pale yellow as I kind of like the color. Plus there are not a lot of pale yellow 67 2 liter roadsters. But your does look great in its new shade. I can only hope mine turns out as nicely done as yours.

Now to start putting all the pieces together.
Need to get a heap of fasteners for the doors to replace the original 48 y.o. relics.
