My 72 510 with vg30e came with a pc680 and worked for years just fine starting that engine and such.

I use a PC680 in both my SR20DE car and in my 69 Solex car. They work great.

Wow, that is quite a setup!
Thanks Bob.
I ordered the Braille B2618. It is a little larger than the PC680 but has more capacity.
Thanks.

Ahhh, this looks like the rare Flux Capacitor option developed for the Roadster by Dr. Emmitt Brown!

I am at a bit of a standstill.
Fuel tank getting boiled. When I get it back, I will be cutting a hole for a fuel pump. Any opinions on sealing? The radiator shop is asking...
Heater core getting re-cored. When it comes back, reinstall and replace any missing vent cables. I know at least one is missing.
Exhaust header parts - after 2 weeks, the first place I ordered from still had not shipped. "It will be a few more days". Heard that last week. I am all for giving shops a chance with Covid and all, but that was a bit excessive. Re ordered all parts yesterday. Should have them by this weekend.
Got the battery delivered, need to design and build a tray/box for it.
Radiator is mostly installed. Using an aluminum CRX radiator. Mounted bottom studs to 2 tabs coming off of the frame. Need to make top bracket (coming off of upper radiator support) and mount fan (which is being shipped from who knows where).
Starting to source ECU and harness.
Rear end should be ready soon
I guess we get spoiled by companies that ship the same day, preferably from a nearby warehouse. I wish they would notify us on their website whether they ship the same day, or when they get around to it. I don't want to give all of my money to Summit and Amazon, but when I need the item quickly and the independently owned alternative is shipping from across the country I have to go with someone that will get it to me sooner. If I am not in a hurry, I try to use the independent shops.

I used the POR15 products and was happy with the results. That was a few years ago and no problems since.

POR 15 is looking good to me. I'll pick up a few small/medium cans.
Thanks.

Fuel pump installed and removed. Fuel tank being coated. Fabricating battery box. Header is roughed in. No pics until I clean up welds.
Heater re cored. Missing one vent cable for the heater box doors on front. Radiator fan will be here this week and I'll fab the mounting brackets.
Had some confusion with ECU but got it sorted out. Covid delays. Finally making progress on it. Fuel line, filter, and fittings inbound.
Looking at gauges now.

Worked on the radiator fan mount.

Built a battery box for the trunk. It will hang on the lip in the trunk (2 screws) with a bolt going through the tab at the bottom (3rd screw).

I have been spending about 10-14 hours per week on it. I am working on it with my Dad. We are having a great time. Laughing, cussing, and cussing some more. He also does some work when I am not there.
Fun project. Not for the faint of heart. As many people told me it costs twice as much as you think and takes three times as long. Having done a (simpler) swap before, I was aware of these factors and not surprised nor deterred by them. I did it for the fun of the project. But you can easily see how people give up in the middle of the project and sell the car halfway done. Be careful if you are trying to do a swap on a budget. You will end up "cheaping out" on things and still run out of money.
Still have a long way to go. ECU was just delivered along with my 12v heater control valve.

Alternator modifications almost complete.
I had to machine off part of the water pump housing and need to tap and plug a port that was used for a sensor. No pics yet, as everything is still torn apart.

First attempt at a header. Still need to clean it up some more. May make another one. I'll call it Header 1.0 for now...
