I'm plodding along as time allows. Engine is mostly complete. A couple nights ago I put the rear side trim on. After inevitably dropping the tiny nut in to the crevice between the wheel well and outside and having to fish it out with a steak knife I put paper in the crack. I did the same on the front one and it managed to go back behind the paper. I had some on the bottom as well. Steak knife to the rescue or so I thought. It flipped out, went past the bottom paper and now resides under the rocker not to be extracted. And so much for the silicone grease trick. It did keep the washers on.
I bought a set of the stainless T bolts. There are 7 holes on each side in the stock quarter panels. Kit comes with 6 long per side which I did not notice until I went to put the other one on. Now I need two more. Apparently you're supposed to skip one of the holes. I have no idea why.

67 basket case, paint coming soon.
Spent the morning on wiring and the afternoon on the car. Starting putting on the rear carb and then stopped to wonder if I could get the steering tube in. Nope, had to take the carb off and stick it through the hole. Got them on after that.
After searching the Gates hose catalog I found two hoses that have 5/8" on one end and 1/2" on the other like stock. Got them and cut them down to size. Good fit.

I used the 18051 for both connections. Didn't know about the 18485.
Looks nice and smooth Curtis, looks like you owe her one!

Amazing but true, I managed to make a pattern and it fits perfectly. I was afraid I would screw it up and have to order some more vinyl.

Ya, not happening. Not a car girl as she said. I kind of had to beg. She is really good at sewing.
