there is a piece that goes UNDER the center clamp that has two 'rods' one on each side. These go into the narrow end of the visor and the end that already has the 'rod' goes into the hole in the left/right clamps.

Trying to find longer bolts to adjust my camber, but all the 'right' length don't have thread all the way rendering them useless and I don't have a strong enough 'die' holder to cut the thread.

Anyone know where to get the 'proper' bolt??

Where can I find a radiator cap of my 66 1600 and 67.5 2000? Looks like it's the same cap but figured I would just buy both right now.

Went to the dealership near me that luckily was able to get me the studs and the gasket for my car. Went again today hoping to get an oil pan gasket. NLA... anyone know where I can get one?

Decided to try and fix/repair my tach today. Got it removed from car. Anyone know how to get into the actual guts of it? Does the face come off? Saw a tiny rectangular metal piece on the back that seemed to be something useful but did nothing. And of course that little piece broke of course in the process. Not worried about that though.

If it is anything like my '65 you have to gently pry off the bezel ring to get to the inside.

Help with my tachometer gauge...

So when I bought the Roadster the tach needle was busted off and the left over attached needle just kept spinning like crazy. Finally decided I want a working tach but I wanted to try to fix it before just purchasing a new one.

I’ve completely disassembled the tach gauge and was able to salvage and reattach the broken needle with some super glue. However I now don’t know how or what to do with the wire that spins under the tach needle. Anyone know what I’m talking about? I’ve been researching and googling all day and I haven’t come across anything to this detail yet.

Here is the wire I am talking about and I don’t know where or how I need to spin it. I think it is meant to put the tach needle back to 0RPM but honestly I don’t know.

Can't be much help, since I too have no idea, but it looks like a spring, and that spring looks sprung. Is there a small hole, or "catch" on the shaft that the spring hooks on or rests against? Can you tell if the end of the spring has broken as if there was a hook or loop of some kind that is missing? Did you find any small bits of metal in the tach when you dissembled it? I've never had the guts to go into the guts of the gauges before. Kudo's for trying.

So after sleeping on it I kept thinking that spring probably has to wrap around the needle shaft to allow resistance for the needle and I’m assuming the reason why when it was broken it just kept spinning in circles was because the spring disconnected and no longer had resistance. But I believe this spring I can also salvage I just don’t know how to properly spin the spring/wire.

Oh and yes I forgot to mention the wire actually is still attached to the spinning piece that connects to the main tach which means to me that all the pieces are there and working... I just have to figure out how to reconnect it all properly.

As you can see in the picture the wire is still connected. I also think maybe that piece that branches off of it that looks like a gun bullet maybe is what I wrap the excess wire around at the end so it hold it in place to keep resistance.

Is this bend on the top of the windshield frame on a 69 normal? It's just above the mirror mount. It's going to interfere with the thin trim piece that goes on the small lip above the frame. I'm pretty sure it's always been there. I'm using Deans repo inside windshield header and post kit, so the OEM stuff might have made the outside trim piece fit different.
