Nice picture. Both cars look good! I think your roadster sits just right.

Spent the last few days off and on disassembling the passenger side front suspension and cleaning it up. Driver's side next. Also chipped off some of the undercoating since the fender is off. The pillar and end cap need rust repair.

Picked up some new lower spindles and other goodies yesterday.
66 stroker, almost done.
67 basket case, paint coming soon.

Had the car trucked off to my local Exhaust Shop today.
I was able to provide nearly all the hardware for the job.
The only parts that were manufactured were the sections of tubing.
Looks great, I hope it sounds great :)
Nothing special, used all stock components for that authentic stock appearance.
No photos, too hard to get a decent shot.
Hope to seal the fuel tank tomorrow.

Today I applied the sealing goop to the inside of the fuel tank.
After plugging all openings with rubber plugs and masking tape I poured the 500ml can into the tank.
Image
You then rotate the tank every which way to coat all internal surfaces.
Felt like a bit of a dill standing there waving this fuel tank around
Anyhoo, after about 20mins. you set the tank up to drain and air cure.
Image
Takes at least 4 days to fully cure before you can add fuel.
That's cool, I should just about be ready to fire her up this weekend, if not sooner.
I can always rig up a temporary fuel supply and see what happens
Image
Bought a battery to suit the long narrow battery tray so once I get some cables made up, I can crank her over :D :D

It is a MF55B24LS
Maintenance Free, Group 55B 430CCA, lead free calcium battery.
Hardly 1965 vintage technology but it is physically ideal :)

I put the seat back in the car because I don't know when I will get back to it to update the foam and install my upholstery kit.
Re-foamed my Wife's seat at the Glen, quick ugly job with just a razor knife, but she is much more comfortable. Mine is next. I somehow lost the foam block under the seat, and I gave my extras to George H., so I rode home on a rolled up towel under the seat, not nearly as good
Am I wrong in assuming that there is no source for seat foam, strictly make it yourself?

Never seen the foam block before. Mine came with the standard towel rolled under the seat. Hey...maybe you owned my car at one time. Ha ha ha.

Reassembled my freshly chromed window winders.
I bought a brand new pair years ago but they were a different design and didn't engage the splines on the mechanism properly.
So I had to dismantle my originals and get them re-chromed.
Image
Image
I carefully counter bored the brass rivet, threaded it and now the knobs are held on by stainless 5-32 screws.
Image
A drop of Locktite and it all went together.
There is just a wee bit of clearance allowing the knob to rotate properly.

Got some battery cables custom made today.
Image
Nice new fittings and pretty red and black cables.
Turned the key and she cranked :D :D :D
The marvels of a positive ground system
Now to finish the ignition wiring and fuel system.
Got my Bay to Birdwood Rally entry pack and I'm number 0319. Could have been 0310 :smt002
Saw my seats yesterday with the shaped foam applied.
My Trimmer knows the deadline so hopefully I'll have at least one seat finished

It is so strange to see a Red cable going to ground!
Congratulations on the progress!
