ok usually when I out things back together there's extra pieces . I know I know .
but ....
my windows , what the heck did I forget that stops the teeth from dropping off ? my window rolls down too far or something and pops off the gears .. I made two stoppers on the single rail on the inside door pannel , the short track one , well that'll help on the rolling up part but not stop the window from popping off the gears again .. I think . I really didn't want to talk it all out again ,again ,again and again .
oh and one more about windows pls
I've put these in a million times as I scratched up my tinting trying to seat them in and it was only a few days ago But I've forgotten already .
does the roller need to be all the way up or down for the install ? thanks

there should be a rubber 'stopper' on the bottom inside the door to limit the 'down' and there is a plastic piece that goes in the slide to limit the up

thank you . I've got the up fixed , had one plastic piece on one door . mimmicked that with metal ...
now the rubber stopper , that must be the empty spot dead center of the inside bottom of the door . ¿ if that makes sense . I believe get what u mean . I wounder what stopped my window b4 .there never was a rubber stopper in either door.. . anyway Thank You ! that settles the confusion there ...... thanks much

it does ... I've got to fabricate something to make up this space ..I was thinking tennis ball but looks more like a bike break . .
a friend of mine gave me these today because my finger tips are too cracked to hold the window good , so he gave me
these suctionn cups to help . nice huh .

Just go to OSH or whatever is in your area and look around. You clearly have an eye for fabrication and I am sure that something will catch your eye - rubber door stop or something similar. Or just a thickish piece of rubber - drill a hole in it and just check what size screw/bolt you will need to secure it.

WARNING: Incoming stupid question
I owe Will $10 because my "Talbot" mirror is useless in the OEM mirror location on my '68.
I was just thinking that since I will never have a radio in the car and have been thinking about removing it lately (anyone want it?!?). Then the thought popped up that its nearly the correct location of the fender mirrors. Has anyone done this? I dont think the holes are nearly the same size, but I would rather try this than drilling any new holes in the car
Thoughts?

Well, you will most likely flatten the curve of the fender when you tighten it down, but since you have previously stated that you want to race the car, it's going to get banged up anyway! You might be able to fabricate a curved mount, or maybe even use some of the antenna hardware to fit the curve. Stick it in the hole and lightenly tighten it down and see if it works.

I was thinking I could make a curved plate to sandwich the hole to prevent the flattening.
Anyone need an antenna? lol

I have new rubber to install on my door (non-opening) triangular, vent windows ... old stuff is dried out & falling out on the '68... any suggestions and tricks? I had a look through the wiki & searched the site with no luck so either I missed it or I'm the first to ask for help. I probably missed it. Thanks!
