I'm working on getting a single speed version of the orange crate. Guy has used it for a store window display for decades. I'll trade him a new Mongoose or Trek, they're cheap now.
Anybody know the rest of the series, Lime Limo, White something, Black something and I think there was blue and grey or silver.
Now there's a great memory, remember the Schwinn sparkle vinyl seats?
Hmmmm new interior thoughts for the Pimpster

Dbrick, quick!! Run, don't walk to the nearest Wal-Mart!! The Halloween stuff is on clearance, and you can get a Willy Wonka purple velour hat for under $2 - it would be bitchin in that pimp daddy ride you have!! ROFLMAO!!!

And people call me a font of useless knowlege! Trivial pursuit game at the Glen next year?
I want to find out who bought the 1600 on Ebay with the continental kit.
If I could make it a quick mount/dismount it would be great when I feel the need for some styling. Now, maybe clear bubble hubcaps with water and goldfish in them. You think the fish would get dizzy?

Yeah, the new stuff looks cool and goes fast, but wrenching on 'em???
My '76 Harley was a complicated as an anvil. Had parts on it from '36 - '81..fifteen minutes to set the valves...40+mpg...a buddy and I rewired one for another friend in an hour, which included the time to go pick it up.
OTOH, doing the valves on my '83 Suzuki takes hours plus you need to replace the gasket.
I just -LOVE- the simplicity of the roadster!

'67 1600 - frame off started in 2014. Now I know why roadster projects take so long. What a stupid idea.

Well I guess I will share my short Roadster history.
I picked up my two 1967s about two years ago at the age of 27 after seeing a beautifully restored yellow 67 on ebay. I have wanted to restore a classic since I can remember, and decided this was the perfect car. I hunted the internet for a couple of months, and found 2 matching cars for $600 in Arizona. Round trip to AZ was about 40 hours (times 2), and have been trying to piece things together ever since.
I have never ridden in a roadster or driven one to this day except when I sit the garage and go VRRRM VRRRM
Someday I will be able to show my neighbors what all the noise has been about.
