those were pretty thrashed and in malaysia so pretty expensive shipping

Here are a few suggestions to help you, and make this thread you created helpful:

1)Tell us your budget
2) Be specific about the type of wheel you want, ie beginning with "I want a wheel that is not commonly seen on a roadster" would have been sufficient
3) If you like a wheel you find, post it here so we can help you procure it and get the correct fitment
4) Avoid opinions on how wheels look, good or bad. It's YOUR roadster. You will be looking at it

Wheel choice should be a fun experience. As a wheel nerd, I enjoy the hunt.

I have the Rotas in 16” a set of Panasport Zs in 15” and the Dunlops in 14”
I’ll try them all for fit when the car get here (the Dunlops might still fit) and run whichever I like best on the car

Yes, a bit off-topic, but in general people are truly allowed to express their opinions. My advice is to just focus on what you want.

That is vague, and not really helpful imho. Give us a ballpark.

Let's take the SSR Mk1 that you are interested in. If a useable set was ~$800 would you buy it?
Yes? We are done!
No? Than we move on to other wheels. There are so many cool JDM/interesting wheels out there, at different price ranges.

There are also "replicas" of popular(or even discontinued) wheels. These are available new, at a fraction of the cost.

Sky is the limit here, and to really help you out now we need a little more than "I want a wheel not commonly seen". Do you like flat-faced surfaces? Deep dish barrels? Staggered fitment? Polished or dull surfaces? What size tire do you want to run, etc.
