Yes, you should have picked them up and then sent them to me
Although I'm pretty sure mine are 14".

Brian--My local wheel restorer advised to me not to run those wheels. If they are the same as the ones I have, the aluminum center is riveted to the chrome rim shell. He said they're very susceptible to fail (rivets break). I wanted to have the centers welded into new aluminum rim shells, but it's almost impossible to find a 14x6 aluminum rimshell.

It was Jim, the owner of TruDesign that told me I was crazy if I used them. He's an old Datsun guy--used to modify 510's. Knew the wheel, and warned me to stay away from it.
If someone has a brand new set they may be fine. On most of the ones that have been used, the rivets corrode or break.

I've decided to just re-upload all of the wheel pictures on the first page. I'm going to add member names along with their wheels so you can contact them for specific info.
Mods, can we clean up this thread so it only contains pictures/info of known wheels?
Make a separate "what is this wheel" thread?
If you would like to submit a picture of your wheels feel free to post or send to me so I can list it on main page!
alvingogiATgmail.com
EDIT: Please send me your wheel pics if you want to contribute to the list! I am keeping images to 1024x768 maximum.

I'm hoping to make a deal for the 15 inch Cosmic wheels my friend Steve has. Gonna borrow one sooner or later this winter and test them out. If they work I will send info and a pic.

Just adding to the post.
I found a set of Carroll Shelby Minilite wheels on Craigslist last week. They came off a 69 roadster and were purchased by the PO from the Shelby catalog back in the 80s. After talking to Alvin we have confirmed they are actual CSI wheels. 14*6.5 +15 offset

Panasport Z
4x114.3 15x6JJ +15
silvergrey inside, polished at the side (with clear coat)
tires
Michelin energy saver
195/65 R15 91H
front suspension
lowered with competition springs from Datsunparts
and Koni classics adjusted for competition springs from Richard
back suspension
original springs (maybe sagged out)
Koni classics from Richard
owner
Erica/ladydriver
I am a bit scared the front wheels will hit the fenders, someone has the same spec's as me and more experience than driving back and forth in the garden?

Some very nice roadsters there.
That is a lot of tire, you might rub if you are not careful, most 15 inch wheels will run a 185/55/15 tire which is about 2 inches smaller than your tire.

I am the wrong person to critique your choice because your work is out standing and I am a hack.....
BUT,
I think you missed the mark on your choice of tires......
IMHO, energy savers are too hard and your choice of size is TOO Tall.
You will need to replace those tires long before you wear them out because of age.........
What is the "replacement age requirement" in your area.........In the States, it's suggested after 5 years......
I would be looking for 200 AA tires...195-50 15 or 185-60......something at 23" or less

IMHO they look great. 195/65/15 is a much taller tire close to 1" taller if you use the 185/70/14 as a stock size. If you are worried about fender clearance try cranking the wheel while rolling up an uneven surface like a driveway/curb etc. You can safely gauge contact easier than totally reefing on your baby at speed!
Alternatively, try a 195/60/15 tire, it's equal in diameter to the 185/70, and will give more fender/tire clearance. Finally, a switch to "normal" comps while keeping the 195/65 would work too.
On tire choice, yours are fine for cruising etc. Not everyone drives as fast as Phil
