Also, are there plans/drawings for the sr20det motor mounts available?

I just traced the outline and holes of the hinge and of the striker onto a piece of paper, then traced the paper onto some plate steel, cut them out, drilled the holes, mounted the two plates to the body and welded on a correct length of steel rod. The weld process will be easier if you grind the rod down to have the same angle as the two plates. My first attempt taught me this last bit.....

Is there a clamp that holds the trunk lock in place? Figure I should look at putting the lock back on... I do still need to get a key though haha

Natural follow up, where do I get one? I dont have it. I can double check all the spare crap I have but Im 99.99% sure I dont have one

Measure the distance across the flats of the trunk lock and you will probably find a modern Nissan door lock clip will fit.

What's the easiest way to remove the exhaust manifold on the R16? I think I have it loose with the exception of the last fastener nearest the firewall. Can't seem to access it. Any tricks?

'64 roadster with front drum brakes. Return springs for the shoes are really strong. Is there a tool to stretch the springs so I can attach to the shoes? Or a procedure for putting the shoes on?

Most people think the manufacturers went to disc brakes because there better. WRONG! It's because mechanics got tired of busting their knuckles installing drum brake springs. You can buy special tools for the springs at an auto parts store, and probably inexpensively. I've had some success by hooking the springs to the shoes first, and then "prying" the shoes onto the backing plate. Also lost some knuckles that way too! Good luck!

Mike, your comment is interesting but, going to disk brakes is not an option at this time.
They put 1,000's of front drum brakes on cars. They must have had a tool, a mechanical advantage over the springs. Which just gave me an idea.

I replaced my clutch slave cylinder this weekend. Simple question, my clutch now releases too late, do I adjust the slave nut in or out to make it engage earlier?
