Just a guess 600 dpi.

Just coming back to this now that I have finished of my project (#48) and bad weather has set in.

I realize I owe some people on here some help with reproduction decals, etc. If I've kept you waiting I apologize!

Please drop me a line.

Also - does anyone know where to buy clear "sticker paper" to print the decals on? I have had no luck finding anything besides the soak-in-water type of transfers.

Cheers
James

I've made "decals" with clear labels. I believe the brand is Avery. Available at any office suplly.
only thing is they are rectangular and need to be trimmed

I bought the Fujimi kit from hobby link in Japan. I also have an SR20 turbo kit for it, and 16" TE37 wheels.

Please post some progress pics as I could use some motivation to build all of the SR-powered roadsters and 510s I wanted...

I agree. Alvin, that's some tremendous work.

I recently finished an R34 Z-tune GTR. It started as a street side kit with no engine compartment. I dropped in an RB26 from an R32 kit and scratch built the engine bay.

I'm not super happy with the Fujimi kit so far. There's sink marks, flashing, and horrible ejector pin marks in bad locations. Nothing I can't fix, just time consuming.

I have the rare 1/10 Scale SRL311 Lexan bodies. You must supply your own chassis. $99 plus shipping.

I finished a Hako not too long ago. Great kit, but I fudged it up a little bit. Also completed the Tamiya R390 GT1 which was a decaling nightmare.

Yeah, but can you "drive" them? The RC ones are an absolute blast to drive. My 1/12 scale has a brushless motor and ESC and 11.1v LiPO pack. It goes about 50mph...

I used to have an Associated RC10GT (1/10th stadium truck) back in the day. Oversized .21 nitro kit, a few hop-up parts here an there. It was fun, but expensive since I used to break it all the time. I didn't care for the electric kits. Sure they're simple, but it couldn't replace the enjoyment of the nitro engines and listening to them scream at 30,000rpm.

Not much of an update. I 3D printed one of the lower front valances that Dean sells, puttied it up and smoothed it out. Looks cool! I also cut off the ugly molded-in sun visors and started reshaping the windshield frame since it cracked in two places. W/O the sun visors there, it is very thin and weak.

I also de-chromed some of the parts to remove the parting lines and prep them for an application of Alclad chrome.

Modelers tip: chrome parts can be stripped with full strength bleach and won't ruin the plastic.
