I am a huge believer in overalls/disposable coverings and gloves!
Call me a wiener or what you will, but I love being able to walk away at the end of the day and be clean quickly - or if I have to run to the auto parts place in the middle of a job. Not like that has ever happened!

Scott, It was great to meet you last week at the Meadowdale Raceway Memories show. I hope you had as much fun as the rest of us did hanging out & talking Datsuns all day. Us Midwesterners get a bit excited when we can get more than 3 Datsuns together in one place, so having 7 of us all in a row was quite a site. Enjoy the rest of your road trip, I'll be cheering you on as I read your blog updates.
Here's a link to some photos of the Meadowdale show:

For local folks at the Meadowdale (Illinois) show, maybe they caught the Nevada license plate.
Me, I would have noticed the authentic bugs, THEN checked the out of state tag.
Nice shot, Dave, that tells it all.
And Scott, sometime later tell us who the dashboard rider is.
Nice that you've got a snapshot of him as you're riding along. I always imagined having a shot of my Grandfather on some (future, yet to be taken) Coast-to-Coast round trip, especially after my Grandmother made fun of him when the old gentleman would ease himself into the passenger seat of my first 311 to go for a ride.

Where do you get the Tyvek suit?

Great shots, Dave. Way better than what I got.

Do you mind if I put a couple on the blog?
It was great meeting everybody, and it's always fun to get more than a couple roadsters together. Plus, bonus; John Morton. That doesn't happen every day.
Re: The Tyvek suits, Lowe's and Home Depot sell them in the paint section, usually either with the masking/tarping supplies, or where they've got the gloves and masks.

So Fish, what's the east coast schedule? Leaves turning soon.

I'm here, amongst the leaves! Sort of in the east, anyway!
Just drove up thru western Vermont to Montreal today, hanging out in Montreal tonight and tomorrow, then heading over to Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, then back into the US in Maine and down the east coast. Stopping in Boston, Providence, Mystic, Long Island, NYC, Lancaster (PA), and Vineland (NJ) to see various friends and family along the way, so in theory I'll be into the sort of upper-south by the end of the month. (I did stop at Watkins Glen, but I think I was a few weeks late for the Roadster get together.)

Hey Scot -
Visit Andy's Dummy Farm on the side of the highway before the PEI bridge... Watch for signs...
Place is iconic... And Andy, is a true eccentric...

Triple milestone: Hit my most north-easterly point (St. Lawrence Bay, Nova Scotia), started Leg #3 of the trip (the "down the east coast" part), and went over 20,000 miles for the trip all in the same day.
A little behind in updating the blog...hopefully will have some time today.
