Sorry guys, life happening and all. I'm actually thinking of selling the car, been putting feelers out there.

Oh Garm, so sorry to hear. Life does have its way sometimes. We'll all do a heart felt Roadster prayer that whatever ails you and your Roadster ownership is burned away like the tires on RCMikes car...

Updates. Spike is currently getting a 5-speed swap, 4.11 rear end and an OS Giken LSD installed, along with a new soft top.
I can't just let it sit there! Progress!

What did you use to paint the engine bay black? I'm thinking about using POR15.

Rustoleum satin black I think. Easy to touch up. POR15 would be really nice.

Looks like you have a single lock nut main shaft. Those are prone to backing the nut off. I hope it was lock-tighted on. I also hope that new 5th is one of the splined ones rather than either a welded press fit, or just a press fit.
Good to see you moving forward with the project.

Yep, it's a splined 5th gear.

And, an elusive 4.11 speedo gear, thanks to Ross from Sports Imports!

Garm,
Make sure you test fit the speedo pinion before running the car. Primarily check the diameter to make sure it is the same as your current one. The 'carriers' are variously offset to compensate for differing diameters.
How many teeth are on the pinion?

Garm,
Make sure you test fit the OS Giken limited slip by doing a burnout. "11" means it's working.
