This was a couple of days ago, but finally assembled and installed windshield.

This would *NOT* have been possible without my wife's patience, especially with the windshield seal.

Looks more like a car now. :smt003

Here’s a before and after of the….snout?🤷
Sins of a previous owner story here.
I cut apart two separate snouts and made one to replace the bent up one.

Decided to refresh the license plates as a simple project. As is generally the case, it turned out to be a bit more involved than one might imagine. The plan was to spray paint the black background and hand paint the yellow lettering. Simple, right? I had never looked close enough to notice that the stamping edges were rounded, not squared as I expected. This made hand painting sharp , straight edges considerably more challenging. I tried several different types and sizes of brushes with poor results. I tried a small roller brush. no good. I spray paint the plate with yellow, then sprayed black over the entire plate, and tried block sanding the lettering back down to the yellow. It worked "ok" but the letters were not all the same height or completely flat from the stamping, so the low spots would end up still showing the black paint while the high spots would sand through the black AND yellow to expose the metal plate. So much for a simple process.
While consulting Youtube videos for ideas, I discovered a business that will print out personalized vinyl stickers for vintage liscence plates. Simply send them a photo of your plates, and they arrive in the mail. The application process is sinple and easy and the results finally satisfied my growing OCD about my "simple " project. It will be interesting to see how well they hold up to weather and the intense U.V. exposure of Baja Mexico, but for now, I am quite pleased with the product.

Perfect example of "this should be easy" to "good lord, what have I gotten myself into!" However, perseverance led you to a great result! This is what working on cars can lead to and how they teach you about life. Helpful to remember when you're still in the process. My car is very good at "teaching" me... right now, I'm looking forward to recess!

Well done, they look great! Interesting that someone turned this into a business!

A link or something would help guide us to the source! Thanks Dave
