Curtis, did you ever get this brake light/turn signal system working on your car? If so, do you have a schematic for this upgrade? You might have posted, but I haven't found it! Thanks, Paul

I'm not sure if I'm the one doing things to my Datsun so much as what my Datsun does to me.... Apparently I can't help myself, I'm tearing my roadster down for paint.

While replacing the rubber seals on the 66, when I went to reinstall the glass in the metal swivel/latch assembly that all the rubber that keeps glass from vibrating or rubbing on the metal was disintegrating Trying different materials laying around from duct tape to the rubber arm bands doctors use when they draw blood to a bicycle tube, I stumbled across an item that fit perfectly! My wife's silicone baking mat for cookies! A little trimming and some pressure and in the glass goes. Job came out pretty good, and I'm not sleeping in the dog house....yet! Think I'll take her out to dinner and then tell her, or else no more home baked cookies!

Well if you have photographs of how the fuel and brake lines are routed from the rear , though the frame and up to the pipes along the firewall that would be a God Send !!

I had to the rebuild on hold for family reasons and I can’t rennet how the stupid plumbing went

As doing Two Datsuns OMG. One is enough. I restore another ‘69 back when I was in high school in’73 but not to this extent. Mon of the manuals have photos to illustrate the routings.

Popped off the DS drum brake to figure out why it was binding... (which actually worked out getting it off the trailer, it was just loose enough to roll when pushed but not go out of control) I need to go dig through the manuals and forum to understand why the caliper mechanism slides and how to properly adjust it.

Installed my ztherapy carbs.

Holy ****, this car has never run this well. Worth the wait, should have done this years ago. 12/10 would do again.

I do have new overflow tubes on order.

Getting the Z Therapy treatment is not cheap but they look better than NEW,

My SUs and intake looked like an encrusted boat anchor and came back in bubble wrapped jewel.

I had the same problem, but I have sheets of rubberized bellows cloth for player pianos in my parts cupboard (I'm a piano tuner/tech/restorer) and the stuff cut and fit perfectly and like your silicone, 'grabs' and holds the window glass:
Cut a template to fit the lower frame
glass is held in snug

After looking over steering wheel options to replace my '70 wheel, which is cracked in a few locations, I decided to save a few hundred $ and put the suggested leather wheel cover on for the time being and keep the stock look:

Tedious work, no doubt. I decided on a baseball style stitch pattern, using the two lengths of thread and needles provided. Fit and feel are just fine for $16.99.
There are others who put a used tire inner tube to provide a more snug fit. I put it right over the stock wheel, and seems to be fine. We'll see after some driving.

That's super sharp! Gotta remember this when I do mine.

I did that to my first Datsun, a '73 620 PU. Lasted for years and helped a lot. Looks great!
