And you have a working sender? Used a VW one in mine.

I spent $20 for mine. I have working originals but opted for the VW one. An experiment that worked.

Today I received the new Tachometer cable from datsunparts.com . Thanks for getting it up to Alberta Canada in really good time (8 days). Didn’t have to drop the steering column to thread the gauge end. It was extremely tight but do-able . I had purchased a generic one, much longer, and along with 3 other mechanically minded wrenchers, was unable to screw it into the guage. Sometimes generic parts work…and sometimes they don’t . Now I have a working Tach….a must !

Well done Steve!

As one of the three hapless wrenchers who couldn't get the generic one threaded into the back of the tach, I say:

Congrats!

Shout out to Paul Wells at datsun-roadster-parts who came through for me with a nearly-new locking gas cap for my '70. Yes, I had to change out the filler neck to a '69, which I found in eBay several months back. Had to adapt the evap return line to the '69 filler neck vent. Much better than the unattractive (IMHO) Gates locking cap...

Followed Ted's "instructions" on the correct orientation of the cover of the locking cap. It's the little things in life... :D

The tank had 80+ holes! $250 got her flushed, cleaned, repaired, sealed, and primed.

Do you still have the 70 gas cap, and would you open to selling it?

Took the seat assemblies apart, then cleaned, painted, and lubricated them. SPL311-00054 is now ready for cushions and skins!
