If just the clevis pin is worn, McMaster-Carr is great. Check the hole in your clutch pedal and brake pedal too. My brake pedal hole was out of round, so I drilled pedal and brake master arm out a size larger so it was round, and got a new Clevis the correct new size from McMaster-Carr.

Lots of references for clevis pins from Home Depot, Loewe's or OSH also.

I had my dad weld the hole shut on my clutch pedal today. I'll mill it flat and redrill.

Coolant reservoir is full to overflowing. Top filler took 2 quarts.
All the lines are new and clamps are tight. No blockages.
Caps are new and seem to be working properly.

Coils anyone suggest a possible reason why the vacuum didn't pull the coolant back into the rad?

Is the temperature running normal? Do you have a laser thermometer? Check upper hose, is it hot? Sounds like you may have an air bubble in the system.
No white smoke or milky oil, right? Make sure your cap is not to strong, I think 8-9 pounds is right for the Roadster, 13 psi is common universal part and too much.

No other weirdness Steve. In fact it runs rock solid temps for many miles and them all of a sudden, high temp. I know what's happened before I pull the caps off.
The more I think about it, the more it makes sense that an air bubble grows overtime until the pocket of air in the top of the rad makes it impossible for the vacuum in the system to draw the liquid out of the expansion chamber. This happens over months. Maybe I should recheck the cap fittings for damage. Maybe give them a few hits of emery cloth.

Question about rear axle seal. Datsun changed from a two piece to this one piece completely enclosed in rubber. Does it still need a gasket like the two piece or just some sealer?

Running a 70, I have consistently found that even on a mostly empty block, fill as best as one can, run engine without overflow tank capped, air just gets blown out, with burping of radiator tubes. Fill and repeat . Never overjeated in 12 years.

Re the windshield frame to wing window weatherstrip for a 67.5 low windshield:

I see how it slides into place on the metal strip attached to the windshield frame.

Does it also need to be glued along the inner flat section? Or is it not necessary?

Trying to install my carpet and need a little help. On the two floor boards, logic tells me the front piece lays over the top of the piece under the seats. It seems like all the pictures show it the other way. which is correct?
Thanks
Keith

My wife says the front piece lays over the piece under the seats. This made sense from the sculpting of the underside of my front piece. So even if not correct, Ive done it!

Anyone have a picture of the door hole for a door lock (67) - my doors needed a fair bit of body work now I need to recreate the hole, not sure where the notches are.
