Those do look very nice indeed. My personal opinion is that for around 1/2 the price of those, you can have the originals repaired and rechromed. Heck, I'm sure a good chrome job will outlast most of us! But to each their own and this is a very nice option.

Now they just have to produce grills and head light rings

Steve/Mark. Those bars look great and they are there forever..I think they are an excellent option for anyone wanting to restore there Datsun Sports . The only thing I have against re chrome is that you need an excellent core (not many of us do) Plus you have to have a good chrome shop (sadly missing in Australia)..We can expect to pay $1,000 AU per bar for a mediocre chrome job. Thirdly the new stainless bars will be a lot stronger than rechromed sheetmetal.. Bert.

those bumpers look good....working on my third roadster, hoping to get it done next year (I hope) I will get a set.

Yes, they did a very nice job and do look good on the car. They will not be selling the over riders separately as these are a custom made bumper and the over riders are made to fit each set of bumpers. They will not be making any other parts either. I did inquire into the headlight scoops as well as other nice to have parts. The costs of tooling far out weigh their returns and they prefer to stick to bumpers only. For someone wanting a show car quality these will make an excellent choice plus the fact that the hard to find 1968 bumper is available. They should last a long time. As to the license plate tag those can be drilled out as not all of the rear bumpers had them.

Thanks for the comments on my car Alvin. It does not look near as good as it did 4 years ago but I am still proud of the stroker. She still runs a bit rich but I have not burnt any holes in my pistons.

At least we have an alternative to the standard chrome bumpers. And it sounds like an excellent choice for our Aussie friends. The packaging is top notch as well.

BTW, I recently purchased a set of aftermarket headlight rings for my 1961 SPL213 from Thailand. Only cost ~$35 for a pair. Not perfect , but pretty darn good for the money. I'll drop them a line and see if they might be interested in repro SP311/SR311 HeadLight Scoops!

Sounds as one hell of a good idea, while you have them you might ask if they can make grills and maybe other high priced "body bling bling"

There has been one report of the stainless steel front bumper not fitting very well. There were some measurements taken and he noticed a difference between the Harrington Group front bumper and the stock one he had. He sent a note to the Harrington Group pointing out the differences. Mine fit so I am not sure what the issue might be. I sent them a very straight pattern to use on both bumpers. Here is a sketch of the differences noted in millimeters.

He let the manufacturer know of his problem so hopefully they will get it fixed.

Update to Kevin's problem----

Hi Steve, the original bumper on my car was wider than the standard, I think that the car has had a knock and could be a few mm wider than orig, so I think that was the problem more than the new s/s bar, it took much measuring to find all this, I have been in touch with Harringtons , But I finally took about 5mm off each inner radius over the last 4 inches of the inner edge and now as you see from pics all is good, I think that they are a great product made from high quality S/S, I am really pleased with the finished job, and I found Harringtons great to deal with, e/mails all answered promptly, please post this with the other for the list to get a balanced view...

Can anyone report on their experience with the stainless steel bumpers?

They fit fine and are worth the money. Have you tried getting some derusted, straightened and then rechromed? Very expensive and not always quality work.
