Not 100% sure but I believe that is the throttle control no one uses on the 67 2 liter and the 67.5 1600. This is not available on the 66/67.

The next step might be to send your prototype to some one whom can test fit it. I have two cars I could test it on but am leaving next Wednesday. Just a thought.

SABLT194 wrote: Tue Sep 25, 2018 1:25 am Richard, Is there any way you can shoot a direct front and a direct side view picture of your hose. I can scale everything from there because I know the OD of the hose is 36.5MMFrontSide.JPG
I can ship the one I have to you, but it's the only one I have!
You can ship it back to me with two new ones I buy from you when ready :D

Ooooo, can it be? A new silicone hose replacement that fits.

Just one more point, that 50 year old rubber piece has likely swollen over the years, you may want to compensate for that. I'm sure that it had a nice round number (HA! Round #) for the diameter - ie. 25mm, so if you measure it as something like 26.47 you might want to factor it as 25, or 26.
That is my sole contribution to this thread other than I want one when complete.

Richard's hose certainly has a lot of twists and turns. I have spent the day measuring and trying to model it. I think I'm pretty close but need to verify a lot of stuff. It looks like the little offset toward the bottom is there to get past the pinch weld, then angle down well past the bellhousing. This hose is about twice as long as the one I had quoted and more twists & turns so we'll see what the manufacturer comes back with this time. Probably going to make a wire model based on my engineering drawing and test fit that to make sure I'm close.

Also, I am sizing the ID to have a tight fit over the cowl drain spigot, and I am sizing the OD to have a snug fit through the grommet. I'm only using Richard's hose to get lines, distances, angles, and radii.

Here's revision 5. I didn't have the tail that heads down the tunnel angled correct in rev 4. I also made the little pinch weld bulge smaller to match what I measured on Richard's hose
