Coming along nicely! Love the pic of the new rotor on the freshly painted hub. Very inspirational. I need to get back to it myself. Only thing I did lately was tape foam over the sway bar mounts and other sharp protrusions, after slicing my head open on them last week. Doh!

Dammit! Can't believe I haven't seen this thread until today. Premo got me thinking stroker 3-main during a Shedd BBQ conversation a few years ago, but I didn't pursue it. Now I'm rethinking it while the engine is still a short block. Damn! Damn! Damn!

Also seeing more items to add to my list. Did I mention DAMN!!!

Quite a bit of progress over the last few days. Once the frame is painted I will be able to begin reassembly in earnest. I did get the bottom painted today with Eastwood Rust Encapsulator. I powered washed the frame yesterday. Fixed a few dings and broken off bolts. Tomorrow will flip the frame over and put two coats on the top before I drag her back into the shop. I am pretty pleased with the progress.

Still on a roll. Got the frame painted today so I can begin reassembly. Also, got the rear end cleaned up and painted. Did the two piece 5 speed drive shaft while I was at it.

A few more pics from today's progress. Got the refurbished later rear leaf springs installed, rear end and rear shocks. Got the idler and the steering box reinstalled. For some reason the install of the steering box went much smoother than when I installed on the 67. That one kicked my ass-this one slid right into place.

The DROPS group does too I think. My driver should come back in about 2 months ready for paint. I spent today blasting on the other one. I need Steve to come help put them back together when they are painted.

Hope to take the motor out to the shop soon for my 1800cc build.

Just read through the whole thread, and have a number of questions. First one:

You're making serious progress. How much time a day do you estimate you're working on the car?

Depends on what else is going on. On good day with few distractions 4 hours or so. Today I had to take my mom home as she came for a visit last Friday. So, by the time I got home the day was already shot. I did start on the front end. Got the passenger side top A-Arm secured and hung the spindle and backing plate to the upper ball joint. It is 92 degrees here today so it was hot in the shop. No A/C. So, not much progress today. Tomorrow morning I need to run to the city to pick up my zero turn mower as I had to have it repaired under warranty thank goodness. I am shooting to have the frame done this week as a roller. We shall see. It is a lot more fun putting them back together than it is taking them apart. This is the third time I have done this so I have a good idea on what parts go where plus I have Scott Scheeler's great books as a backup.
