I have some used 1500 distributors if you need one. Just a thought, what's the chance of not cosmetically restoring it? Fix what's broken with the correct parts, then wash it and drive it. It's only original once.

That was my original thought but seeing that there were some body work done on the doors (areas prone to cracking) and the rear tail plus it has been sprayed once already I figure it has been tampered.
But, I am new to this game in the area of restoring or preserving and to keep its patina, so I'm open to what you all think. The engine bay is very clean and I can just use some rubbing compound to clean it up or keep it in its current state.

You’re right....I’ll bring it to Solvang for the “Diamond-in-the-rough” category this year.

Something I owned had caps like that. I’ve just owned too many cars!

A closeup of the brake and clutch pedal pad. You guys were wondering if they were from a Mercedes. Not too sure but it look more like an arrow tip.
Any thoughts?

Swapped out the newer plastic fan for a metal one. it definitely looks period correct. This shroud looks a bit smaller than my 67. Perhaps it’s correct for the 63.
