No idea, and surely I do not recall any exact numbers. I just remember the car being a high number '67 2000, and the engine was a complete SU version.

Thanks again for the info, Greg! I certainly wouldn't expect you to remember the engine numbers from 20+ years ago... I was typing on my phone working through a 3 hour delay on the airlines -- probably didn't come out right. I still need to contact the guy I got the engine from... may yield some more answers.

If you saw a high number car and 852 is legit as well as 967 (which was parted out) then maybe there really were 1000 made? I've heard that 1000 were made due to scca restrictions to go racing and I've heard others say they think only 700 or so were really produced.

#321 has U20 block number 00589.
