We had a great drive down the coast on Friday. At our peak we had 11 cars together - all Roadsters except for one 240z and an Altima.

We enjoyed a lunch stop in Gorda. Although the sandwich selection was slim, the view, the parking and the company were unparalleled.

I'll add some videos in the coming days. Here's one of us leaving Cayucos where we met up with the last two to join us.

That's why we tanked up in Morro Bay. :D

Someone has to have the shot of all the Roadsters taking over the gas station.

Check out where Gorda is on the map. Not too many options - Supply and Demand is alive and well.

You wonder if they lowered the price if they would do more volume. Most people probably just buy enough to get to the next stop. Maybe the supplier charges more since they have to bring the fuel in using smaller trucks. In any case, they are gouging, but if you have no alternative at least you can get gas. The moral of he story is fill up in Cambria if heading north or in Carmel if heading south.

The sandwiches weren't great, but it was a much needed pit stop.

Completely off subject, but I learned that on the trip to Alaska. Once on the Alaska highway, you don't pass a gas station without getting gas. They are very few and far between. A couple of times the truck was on fumes on BOTH tanks before I got to the station...

I think it was $8.25 last year. We gassed up in Monterrey at the last station going south. REAL busy place

We hit the second station. The bulk of the caravan filled up the first. I did snap a couple pics of the station we invaded.

Great trip and great company. Truly enjoyed meeting Leo in Paso and cruisin' over to Cambria with him in tow. Had lunch in Cayucos while we waited for the rest to roll/rumble into town. What a hoot. A wonderful group of people. Can't wait till next year.

I found some footage showing all the cars that drove together from Carmel. Excuse the crooked frame. The mount must have gotten moved at some point.
