When I do a frame-off I want to use a lighter shade than black. I wonder how the white will look Gary once the car is running, especially from the that side view.

Is this the side view? Very pretty for sure.

Get the frame ceramic coated!

That is a 1/24 model I built. I meant a "side profile" view like this:
If my frame was painted white, it would pop out in a lot of places, most visible from the side, or 3/4 front, rear:
Just a mental exercise, I know nothing of aesthetics. White would really pop on Gary's blue body.

Thanks Alvin, your model made much of my day it is awesome!
I'm thinking about some glow in the dark paint for my frame off rejuvenation. Well maybe not

Not a swap, but always a great time to check over a frame.. When stripped down for powder coat.. We had to look this one over close because at one point this car lost a driveshaft and it was smacking around in the tunnel. Chassis looks good. Next time it is seen, it will be black. I would have loved to do mine in maybe a gunmetal color..lol

I found stress cracks just in front of the engine mounts where boxed-in gusset is welded to the inside of the frame rail. Also the vertical weld on the inside between the frame rail and front cross-member (at the extreme front, not the big beefy cross-member) was completely broken and separated.

What's a good choice for a flywheel for a S15 SR20DET? My original dual mass flywheel is not useable.

We usually trade them out for a light weight one piece flywheel like this:
We get them out of Japan for about $300. What is nice about them is can use a standard S14 DET clutch on it:
I have 6-7 of the S15 dual mass flywheels here if you want me to see if I have a good one...

Michael,
I'm interested in a lightweight one-piece that uses the S14 clutch assembly. The dual mass flywheel seems extremely heavy. I had found these one piece flywheels a few months ago and bookmarked the web pages. Then my hard drive died and lost the links. How do I get the one from Japan? Total cost? Thanks.
