If it turns out the car can't make it, Allen would bring his B210, FYI.

But I have my fingers crossed!

Exhaust is in.. Only thing keeping it from running is the gas tank.. Needs to be treated, dried, painted, and installed and it runs..

The top tier in the second photo reminds me of a road in Oregon just east of Portland, south of I-84. Ahem,,,got a little lost on the way to blue lake last year.

Chasing charging issues... It's overcharging..

Kevin is diagnosing it..

Funny pebbles... I bought my car 10 miles from that spot.. Part of my test drive was on historic columbia hwy..

Did I say wow yet?

Ok, so I picked it up at Kevin's in Riverside.. We did the last minute stuff like install my license plate...

Kevin had solved the little issues, and the car was ready to go..

Impressions?

Exhaust note: at idle, and at very low throttle, it's so docile, it's quieter than the stock motor.. Perfect for the neighborhood.. Pulling 2nd and 3rd gear up highway 74, it barks and growls, as loud as you ask it to.. And the minute you chop throttle, it's back to silent mode.. At 70 on the freeway, it's very quiet, can barely hear the motor over the wind.. At 85, it gets a little louder.. Just beautiful..

Power delivery: very smooth.. Very linear, and it just keeps pulling and pulling and pulling.. I have not come anywhere near the redline yet, but I can't wait.. The sound and the thrust just go and go and go...

Power: I don't know just how much there is, but there is SO much more than the 1600, it's not even close to the same car.. It was effortless climbing up the hill, didn't really care what gear it was in..

Transmission: 5 speeds, short throws, smooth shifts, and.. I love the 1600 rear end with the 5 speed..

Overall, I think it would be hard to be more excited.. When the gauges are done in the next couple weeks, I'm going to be so happy..

Got myself a GoPro.. Need to figure out the sound, and then I can go for a real drive.. Trying to actually get engine noise over the wind is tough..

http://youtu.be/fyS0qSffkSE

Or I can get it done this way, but there is no sound.. ugh.. It was a very fun drive though..lol

Even with the wind the video was really cool. It's a great angle shot of the car.
Congrats on your swap.
