Can you use a dual carb G15 head on an R16? I know the bore is significantly different, but I'd love it if I could still use the two G15 heads that came with the car.
Thanks!

Is there a difference between the material used in the early seat belts and the late seat belts? tx

I have to wonder how can it matter and how can anyone know, since they are so easy to change and and are most likely to be changed, and if one is racing with some organizations they have to be changed every year

It matters to the person who is looking for seat belts for an early car and wants them to be correct. We aren't talking about a race car. He is trying to restore the car to original.
Anyone else have any input on this please?

Is there a way to test for leaks in the heater core before I put it in and button everything up?

Smart, I guess I need to plug one side with a cork ...
Then the other with low pressure from my compressor...

A bike pump or similar might be sufficient: what ever you do don't go much over the rated pressure of the cooling system cap which is usually 1 bar or 14.7psi.

Thanks, some might think I'm a wee nuts worrying about heaters when it's 116 degrees

If you feet hurt then your shoes are on backwards

I believe the back shoe is correct, the front shoe should be inverted so the lining looks like this: -

1500 dual carb heads will work on a 1600. 1500 seat belts were a very coarse grain Web material. I am not sure about the 65 1500. 1600s and 2000s had a smooth web.
