Perfect Fall day in central Alberta. 13 cars , mostly from the Edmonton Z car club met for a fun run out into the surrounding countryside. 3 hours , approx 225 km ( 140 miles) . Three roadsters, four 300 ZX, a few 370Z, , wild 2+2 z with over 350 hp. And a 2014 corvette. Great fall colours and lots of golden fields of grains being harvested. 21 Celsius, 70 Fahrenheit. Best Autumn in years!!!

DROPS Roadster drive today. Monday 9-26-22. Vantage on the Columbia River. 67 SR20DET. 287 miles.
Fine Fall Drive today with DROPS Member John V and Santosh.
One of our favorite routes. East On I90 to Easton Then side roads to Vantage. Sunny Warm Clear. Mid 80's.
The old Vantage Hwy. is suitable for high speeds.
JV was booting his 70 2000 along and it puked a good spot of oil at our lunch stop.
Appears the rear main seal was protesting.
Not the Apple Drive of Old but we did get apples at the Red Sky fruit stand E of CleElum.

My wife Anne and I met up with Alexi and Amy Repoff at their home in Walla Walla, WA. Headed to the Concours de Maryhill event on the grounds of the Maryhill Museum near Maryhill, WA. Amy was the navigator through many backroads along the way. From Prosser, WA we took hwy 22 to Mabton. That's where the real fun began, Many miles of twisty roads and changing scenery. Having too much fun to stop for pics. Well worth the drive if you are ever in the area.
The venue for the show was amazing! The museum is a must see. The Maryhill Loop Road was open for Saturday for show goers to enjoy the historic drive.
A few hundred top quality cars entered the show. Alexi's yellow '66 won best Asian.
Met some new Roadster friends and chatted with many others.
This was a "bucket list" event for me. I plan on attending in the future. We had a great time getting there and attending the event!

I've driven by Maryhill many times on the way to Oregon Raceway Park by Grass Valley... never knew about the museum.

Usually I have this on my mind when I'm on that route:

Had a beautiful weather forecast so my youngest and I went to the Hagerty Car Show at Virginia International Raceway. Lots of great cars. Lots of great racing and a couple of laps on the track. Weather was just cold enough Sunday morning to get that nice temperature balance between mother nature and the heater box. Beautiful weekend with the trees starting to change. The edit isn't the best but it was mostly automated with the GoPro software. No Grammys but you get the idea. Can't wait for the next outing.
