Ted, that's a wonderfully beautiful drive... we are so fortunate to live so close to all this. I love how the forests and landscape changes as you cross from Western to eastern WA. I was complaining about the cool weather we had from the start of summer, but with so many others dealing with triple digit temps I'll take the cooler PNW any day.

Oh come on...with a small mechanical addition, you can tackle all that pacific northwestern snow!
And the parts would all be from Nissan so they should just bolt onto 311s

That second pic reminded me of the Chevron car commercials from a few years back... both cars just look like they are smiling, saying "let's ride!"

On Sunday I attended the Morning Motors gathering in Santa Cruz, Ca, hosted by Driving While Awesome. We had a neat group of cars for the pre-event morning drive. I was tasked with leading us up HWY 9 to the 84/35 junction at Alice's restaurant. It was a blast piloting the '67 2000.
The scene at my house before heading out at 7am:
At the 9/35 junction waiting for friends to join:
HWY 9 was amazingly traffic-free, giving me the time of my life working the roadster through the winding ribbon of newly paved asphalt. Sora felt so good with the new Bilstein shocks. Even with 10year old 185/70 tires I was all smiles with each apex.
After the drive I received a few comments worthy of a chuckle:
"Yeah man, I had a blast--loved watching you hang the back end out going up 9!"
"I must say you were wheeling that thing around pretty good"
"Maybe you shouldn't try and drift a 50-year old roadster"
At Alice's restaurant for the 8am meeting point. Iconic venue. Great food too.
From Alice's we headed down 84 to HWY1 for a relaxing cruise to Santa Cruz. Josh, my friend in the VW Bug said "The delinquent in me enjoyed the spirited pace of the twisties. But, the geezer in me loved the serenity of HWY 1."
We arrived at Morning Motors just after 9am and it was near capacity. Lots of cool cars to be seen:
Rob (in the Porsche 993 Turbo) and I headed home via HWY 17. As we were bombing down this stretch we hit some traffic. I noticed a very loud metallic rattling sound coming from the passenger side of the roadster...omg did I lose a hubcap? Rob visually confirms that all hubcaps are intact. The sound disappears above 20mph...Rob says it's probably a loose lug nut that fell inside the hubcap...I soldier on and get home. Pop the hubcap off and there it is...grease cap fell off!
Drive them hard! I was so happy with Sora wringing its neck. And lived to tell the story.

Is it just the picture angle or is Sora running with some serious negative camber?

Alvin, looks like you had the only convertible there... winner! Aren't the Bs nice! So much better, especially if the road gets a little ugly.
Looks like a nice time Pjackb, really nice examples!
Thanks to both for sharing...

DROPS Roadster Drive to Sunrise on Mt Rainier. 6400' 64 1500. 182 miles.
Our second drive of 2022 to Sunrise. Beautiful day. Mid 60's.
With Dan R and John V and Donna, driving their (hers) "new" creampuff 42k miles 1992 Miata.
A bit of a nuisance with construction delays on the approach
and busier than anticipated at the destination.
Did not get our favorite parking spots.
