Thanks

Different colors are used to ID the different rates of the springs.
How do I find out what yellow means. Supposedly the PO had put comps on it and was trying to verify that they were. I'd like to drop the front about 1 to 1 1/2"
Keith, my super comps from Dean are paint stamped with datsunparts.com and super comp on them, so I don't think yours are from Dean. I think Dean's are lower than the factory or Mike Young's, but not by much. I wouldn't want to go any lower as my comp oil pan barely passes the "dollar bill test". By the way I'm on 195/60/14 tires. Somewhere there is a thread comparing all three springs with pictures, which are probably no longer available.
PS in reference to one of your earlier posts I am ALWAYS willing to drive fo BBQ :D

I have some friends that live on beaver lake, AR. Looks pretty close to you.Should be some nice cruising around there. They moved up there last year haven't made it up there yet. Maybe when your ready we can meet up for a drive. I'll bring some Q. Here's some homemade corn beef from last years St. Paddys day. Brined 5 of them for an office party.

Beaver is a beautiful lake with wonderful roads around it. If you ever head up there I'm only about 30 mins off your route.

It looked like you were close. My roadster is in the shop for the next 3 weeks. there was a problem with the clear coat and they're taking care of it. I'll let you know when it's back on the road. A spring drive in Arkansas sounds inviting. What's the best time, late April or May ?

Keith, the current Mike Young springs are what you want. Nothing else (other than stock) is really the right spring rate for a street car.

The MY springs (and OEM springs) are perfect for the street Bilsteins too. For the “super comps” I build special Bils for the 860lb/in rate.

If you want to drop it, strongly recommend the MYs unless it is a track car.

(super stupid questions) What's a correct high temp grease for assembling the motor to the trans - same as you'd use for a wheel bearing or lighter than that? Also, should the tip of the trans input shaft be greased?

The transmission input shaft spigot can be lubed up with some high temp grease. It will assist in mating the engine and transmission up and keep things quiet when assembled

I am changing out my transmission and I have quite a bit of slop in the shift lever. The bushings are new, so that’s not it. Centering springs? If so, how do I replace them? Maybe also a new pin?

Just to be sure, you didn't brine your friends, right? Or is brine another slang term for got'em drunk? :D
