So I finished my stereo yesterday.. Sounds great at speed, which was the whole point..
Amps mounted up..
Tiny little bass box..
All buttoned up..
Anyway, I like good news better than bad, so take that people who drop chairs on the freeway..

After talking myself in and out of removing the chrome trim several times I really needed to make the choice. It was holding me back on the body work so out came the welder. Filled the holes got the tub roughed in and sprayed in 2k primer. Powder blasted the KB's and painted them red to add a splash of color down under.

This weekend I applied my sound dampener throughout. Replaced my KYB that disconnected and decomposed from scraping the ground. I am blaming my muffler guy for not putting it back on correctly. Painted my roll bar and picked up some nice looking screws and bolts for throughout the interior.
Called Les today to order carpet, seats and door liners....but...he was busy and will call me back. LOL.

Swapped out the stock ASB for a Datsun Competition unit with new bushings last night:
Actual NOS Datsun bar:
Leaving off the Comp Springs & KYB Gas Adjusts install for the big road trip this Friday to the Matsuri in Kelowna. Will install them when I get back for some autoX events.
Only had to replace 1 trashed bolt on the ASB assembly
Cheers,

Ordered a Pertonix kit w/ 3ohm coil. Hoping to clear up my intermittent misfire at higher RPMs.

Today I drove my Roadster to work for the first time since buying it.

Finally got the carbs somewhat synced and idleing smoothly. Still have a little hesitation on the low end but it was a blast to drive it!!

I set out to hook up the temp sensor to the temp gauge tonight, while it's nice out. I revved the motor by pulling on the linkage on the webers, this got the throttle cable stuck. Car warmed up REAL quick. I was not happy. Spent the next half hour figuring out what the eff was wrong with the throttle.
Locknut wasn't tight on the adjuster, so the cable got loose and popped out of the pulley groove when I yanked on it from the linkage. Pretty stressful with the motor staying at 4-5000rpm in neutral and my 4 year old playing defense so I couldn't get to the ignition key.
So I fixed a loose throttle cable today, didn't get to the temp gauge. How quickly will my car overheat in the Las Vegas summer?

I switched out the Prothane tranny mount for the Chevy one. Vibration is gone. I didn't mind it so much but I figured it wasn't that great for the car.
Kind of a pain to do, so glad it's done.
Thanks to Peter for his help

I got out of it after a 12 hour drive and shut the poor thing off. Ran like a champ.
